Datafactory can be used in a number of different ways depending upon the level of expertise of users. Those with a high level of familiarity with default-risk model development may wish to control and perform all of the steps involved in developing a model using Datafactory. Such users may purchase a license to use Datafactory from Galexy Pty. Limited. The nature and cost of the license will depend upon specific aspects of user requirements including the location of the server running Datafactory, projected usage intensity, and the period over which Datafactory is expected to be used. Contact Geoff Shuetrim for details.
At the other extreme, it is possible for users to engage the services of specialist risk advisors with experience running a series of workshops that guide clients through all of the model development steps involved in Datafactory. Again contact Geoff Shuetrim if you think that this approach is better suited to your requirements.
It should be emphasised that Datafactory only creates a set of data from which a default risk model can be developed. It does not, of itself, generate the mathematical model calibrated to that data. This work can be done in-house by banks with the necessary expertise or risk advisors with the necessary quantitative skills can be drawn upon. We are able to provide such model development support directly and we can also recommend third-party risk advisory agencies with the necessary quantitative skills and familiarity with this modelling approach.
